Brian Maiyo is an AWS Solutions Architect and Presales Engineer based in Kenya, currently working at Silicon Overdrive where he leads technical presales engagements and drives engineering automation initiatives.

With 3+ years in tech - including 2+ years focused on cloud architecture and presales engineering - Brian brings together deep technical expertise and strong business acumen to deliver cloud solutions that drive real operational outcomes. His approach centres on making great technology invisible: fast, secure, and just working.

His expertise spans cloud architecture, infrastructure as code, security compliance, and intelligent automation. At Silicon Overdrive he splits his time between presales technical engagements (80%) and engineering initiatives (20%), with a focus on cost optimisation, security compliance, and workflow automation.

Beyond the office, Brian loves spending time at the piano, discovering new restaurants and cuisines, and keeping active through running. Time with friends and his church community is incredibly important to him.
